Montshire Temporarily Closed to the Public until April 3, 2020

Due to the rapidly changing situation with the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Montshire has decided to temporarily close the Museum to the public through April 3, 2020 in the best interest of public health. This includes cancellations of all public programming, group visits, and museum rentals.

Although there is no known case of COVID-19 at the Museum, the Montshire is compelled to follow the science and the best practices for social distancing to ensure the well-being of our community.

Museum staff will continue to work during this time in order to care for living exhibits and to perform other essential tasks, either remotely or on-site, with appropriate social distancing and hygiene procedures in place.

Given the evolving nature of COVID-19, the Montshire will carefully monitor and evaluate the situation in the weeks ahead. Please check the Montshire’s website and social media channels for updates.

The Montshire deeply values the health and comfort of our community. We look forward to reopening when it is safe for the public, staff, and volunteers.
