Statement on Equity and Inclusion

The Montshire Museum of Science stands firmly against racism in its many forms. Our mission drives us to help people think deeply and critically about the world around us. By fostering curiosity, new perspectives, and a meaningful exchange of ideas, we work toward positive change in the world, and against injustice. We believe in science as a means toward greater understanding of the human condition. We stand with those who condemn racism and promote equity.

Here we offer resources that share knowledge and encourage meaningful reflection and conversations about race.

Staying informed, discussing difficult topics, and practicing kindness, empathy, and respect are a few ways to address the current situation, but there’s so much more to do. We will continue to examine our actions, explore new ideas, and do what we can as a science institution, a community resource, and a place of learning, to bring about much-needed change.
