Solar-Powered Critters
(inspired by 2040)

Explore the science of sustainability and the power of storytelling as you and your family create a solar-powered critter on a mission!

Bring electricity, design, story and character to life in this one-hour, hands-on workshop inspired by the film 2040 and led by educators from the Montshire Museum of Science and the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

Motivated by his 4-year-old daughter and concern for the planet she will inherit, filmmaker Damon Gameau’s 2040 shares his global journey to meet the innovators and change makers pioneering the best solutions already available to us today to improve the health of our planet and societies. An inspirational film for people of all ages, this is the story the next generation needs to see, to aspire to, and to believe is possible.

Workshop participants will receive:

  • a kit of materials mailed to their homes
  • an access code sent via email to view 2040 at home
  • a Zoom link sent via email to access the workshop on Monday, February 15, at 10am

This program is free to Montshire members, but space is limited to twenty participants, so sign up today!
