Weaving Strands of Knowledge is an international collaboration promoting conversations on global sustainability by bringing together personal narratives of climate change with community knowledge and climate science. This project will engage two culturally distinct communities, rural New England and Bhutan, in conversations and knowledge sharing focused on urgent issues of environmental sustainability.

Project activities will take place in the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire and in Bhutan’s capital region of Thimphu and rural villages in the Tsirang district.

This project is a partnership between the Montshire Museum of Science, the Folk Heritage Museum and Tarayana Foundation, in Thimphu, Bhutan; the University of New Hampshire, and the Royal Thimphu College

Weaving Strands: Connecting Culture and Science to Climate Change, is a Museums Connect project. Museums Connect is an initiative of the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the American Alliance of Museums.
