The Montshire Museum of Science has over 125 exciting exhibits relating to the natural and physical sciences. The Montshire is located on a 110-acre site along the Connecticut River. The Museum is self-guided and is largely handicapped accessible.
September 24, 2016– January 2, 2017. Uncover fossils and learn the facts and about dinosaurs when you visit the Dinosaur Revolution maze/exhibition at the Montshire Museum of Science beginning September 24. Visitors will undertake three Mesozoic Missions spanning 150 million years, mimic dinosaur behavior, and LIVE LARGE in reptilian role-play activities. Experience what it’s like to be a paleontologist and find evidence of dinosaur doings, and learn why dinosaurs are one of the most successful survivors in earth’s history.
As part of the Montshire's 40th anniversary, the Montshire Museum of Science commissioned Vermont artist and master stoneworker Dan Snow to create a sculpture to transform the entryway of the Museum. This exciting new sculpture is now open to view and for exploration by Museum visitors.
