Professional Development:
Cardboard City

Online Workshop for teachers of grades 4–8

Get your students excited about solving a design challenge. Learn how to design, propose, and build a project that will be incorporated into a class-built model city. We’ll talk about how creativity and personal relevance can be applied to accessible engineering activities and can help foster the development of 21st century skills.

The Montshire Museum of Science’s live webinar series offers teachers and homeschool educators opportunities for professional development in STEM education. These bite-sized online workshops are designed to provide exciting ways to invigorate your science classroom without having to travel to the Montshire.

This season, we’re focusing on incorporating engineering into your science curriculum. All workshops will review the NGSS engineering practices and how they support the content learning goals for specific units of study.
