Celebrate the 2024 Solar Eclipse with two days at the Montshire!

Solar Eclipse Activity Days!

Sunday, April 7th, 2024

Enjoy a day at the Montshire and learn about the total solar eclipse with hands-on activities and timed StarLab* sessions throughout the day! Purchase eclipse glasses in the Montshire Museum Store.

Monday, April 8th, 2024

10:30am-1:30pm:

Make pinhole viewers and other activities, timed StarLab* sessions.

2-4:30pm:

Outdoor viewing of the solar eclipse.

*StarLab is the Montshire’s inflatable portable planetarium. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Front Desk. In this immersive experience, you will learn about the eclipse, stars, constellations, and planets! Limited spaces available for timed sessions. First come, first served, $3 extra per person with admission or membership (no advanced sales). Please note that StarLab takes place in a dark, enclosed space, with seating on the floor. The program lasts approximately 20 minutes.
