The Montshire Museum of Science is seeking a part-time (23 hours per week – Sunday 12-8, Mon 3-8, Tue 3-8, and one other 3-8 shift to be determined ) Facilities Maintainer. This position ensures that visitors and staff have a safe, comfortable, clean place to learn and work in the Museum’s building and grounds. They accomplish this by being responsible for the overall care of the building, grounds, furnishings, and equipment.
The Facilities Maintainer must be familiar with custodial procedures, general maintenance, and yard work. Candidates should have the ability to work independently as well as good time management and problem-solving skills. This position requires the ability to handle a full shift of physical activity including heavy lifting, climbing stairs and ladders, and walking outdoor landscape areas and hiking trails.

Summer Programs Staff
The Montshire offers extensive summer environmental and science day camp programming for children. During the spring, we hire approximately 20 day-camp educators and explainers for each summer.
