Fund a Need
In 2016, in celebration of the Montshire’s 40th Anniversary, Fund a Need participants will support the Joy of Science: making joyful science learning opportunities available to everyone. These donations will help provide another 40+ years of service to people of all ages and all income levels. How do Montshire’s education programs engage people in the Joy of Science?
- Nature exploration in Montshire Summer Camp.
- Tinkering programs for teens.
- Hands-on activities for preschoolers at the Science Discovery Lab.
- Mentoring and training for preK-8 teachers, that benefits children throughout the region.
- Special admission and membership fees for low-income families through the Warm Welcome program.
How does it work? Raise your paddle during the Live Auction to support the Joy of Science for you, your friends and nieghbors, and people throughout the community. You will become a partner in our efforts to ensure that inspiring and educational Montshire experiences are accessible to people of all ages and all income levels.
There will be opportunities to participate at:
You can fund a community need during the Silent Auction as well. Look for tables in the community room and main gallery, marked by balloons. You may choose to support Early Childhood Education; Montshire's School Partnership Initiative, which strengthens science education in small, rural schools; or Summer Camp Scholarships for families in need.

My boys LOVE the Montshire. This is such a great place for kids and the auction is a fun way to celebrate and give back to this amazing organization. Maribel Souther
