It's every curious child's dream to be in a science museum for the night. That dream can become reality at the Montshire Museum of Science with its overnight "camp-in" program for kids ages 7 and up. Our exciting Science Museum includes two floors of intriguing hands-on exhibits and 110 acres of nature along the banks of the Connecticut River.
Arriving at the Museum after an early dinner, campers rotate in small groups through featured activities including:
- StarLab:
- View the night sky up close and warm in Montshire's inflatable planetarium
- Trail Walk:
- Discover the Museum's woodland trails at night with a guided walk
- Simple Soda Fountain Science:
- Capture the joy of science discovery using everyday materials
- A Closer Look: at the Museum's fascinating exhibits
Campers are provided with a light snack midway between the evening activities. Groups sleep in our large, carpeted Community Room. In the morning, following breakfast, the campers head out to explore some of the trails with a self-guided nature hike.
