The Hood Museum of Art (one mile drive) located on the Dartmouth College campus in Hanover, N.H., houses ten main galleries in a 40,000-square-foot postmodern building. Right around the corner from the Montshire on Route 5 in Norwich (two miles) is the famous King Arthur Flour Baker's Store, the destination for bakers looking for new and classic baking products and resources.

The American Precision Museum, Windsor, Vt. (19 miles) preserves the history of the machine tool industry in the Upper Valley. The Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, Vt. (19 miles) is a working farm that maintains the spirit and values of Vermont's rural past. The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (13 miles) includes one of North America's finest collections of birds of prey.
