Chaotic Wrench

What appears at first to be a silly spinning wrench challenges your expectations about movement

A light spin of the handle and the foot-long wrench jumps up in the air and whirls around. But it doesn't always go where you think it will, and sometimes it pops up when it seems it shouldn't. Chaos theory plays a part in whether the motion of the spinning wrench can be predicted, but, predictable or not, its motion is surprising and may make you laugh.
